FAR-West conference

We, the FAR-West Board of Directors, hope that that you are all well, safe and following all current health recommendations.

We want to assure you that the health and well-being of our attendees is of our utmost concern as we plan for the future. In light of the current situation, we do not feel we can provide a safe environment for an in person conference this year.

Our hotel has graciously allowed us to terminate our contract and we have begun making plans for a VIRTUAL EVENT for 2021. Please bear with us and stay tuned for updates regarding this event, slated for October 13-17.

Please, if you are not following us on our our social media sites or mailing list/listserv, please join or follow one or more. They can all be found at this link: https://far-west.org/about/connect/

Regarding pre-registration for the 2020 conference: If you pre-registered for the 2020 conference and asked that your registration fee be applied to 2021, we are refunding all pre-registrations at this time. All pre-registrants will receive an email regarding refunds.

FAR- West 2021: Oct 14-17

#farwestconnects

Folk Alliance Region West (FAR-West) one of five regions of Folk Alliance International is the western regional affiliate, including in the USA: California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Alaska and Hawaii, and in Canada: Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and Northwest Territories. FAR-West's ongoing mission (since 2002) is to foster and promote traditional, contemporary and multicultural folk music, dance, storytelling and related performing arts in the West. We invite you to join us this October -- to listen, celebrate, recognize, and enjoy the richness of folk music in the West.  Our regional conference offers an affordable, intimate and interactive way for acoustic artists and presenters to focus on the folk community in the western region of the US and Canada. Join us for four days of music, learning and connecting. We welcome a wide variety of styles, levels and disciplines, encouraging musical and cultural diversity and excellence. We are building a stronger folk community for all ages and we encourage you to join us as we share our performances, educational opportunities and more!
