Shoutout to the music community! Let us hear from you! Lockdown Lemonade has been honored to be posting stories of survival, tips for getting through these challenging times and ALL kinds of ways to make lemonade out of the lemons we’ve been handed during the pandemic. We are always on the lookout for more material to share with the community. Type up your thoughts & feelings, share some laughs you’ve had, some tears you’ve shed, but most of all, let your community know how YOU’VE learned to make your very special brand of lemonade.
Submissions should be 300 words and will be posted based on approval from the Lockdown Lemonade Committee, who might also do a little editing and/or tweaking to help your work to look its best. For guidelines, questions and other submission details, please contact Julie Zipperer at juliez@far-west.org or Marlynn Block at marlynn@far-west.org

Welcome to May 2021, FAR-Westers! In honor of Spring and New Starts, we are excited to let you know that our newest Spotify playlist is LIVE now! “FAR-West Members’ New Releases” Spotify playlist is 12 songs submitted by members who have released new music to Spotify during 2020 or 2021. Find the new playlist on the FAR-West website (under the Spotify icon) or follow this direct link:
We hope you will listen, enjoy and share this new music from some of our Region’s very talented artists! We expect to add to this playlist in the future so stay tuned for further developments.

Happy Listening!

Social Media Sharing Help Wanted!
FAR-West is looking for social (media) sharers! Thank you to those who have already stepped up but we would love to have more people helping out.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and even LinkedIn!
**(We are also looking for someone who is both FAR-West-knowledgeable and Instagram-savvy to help run that platform on our behalf)
In order for FAR-West to reach its intended audience, we need your help to aid in spreading the word of our ongoing year-round virtual programming.
Ideally we would love to have volunteers in each area of our region, sharing posts from the official FAR-West accounts to your audiences and friends on the various social media sites mentioned above. Plus inviting those of your friends who you think would be interested to the Facebook event pages. Sharing those posts to your feeds with a positive comment to introduce it would be a HUGE help. It’s one thing to be tagged in a post from another person or entity; but your friends will pay more attention if you’re sharing and giving the post / event a positive spin and your stamp of approval.
If you think you could help out in this area, please contact Steve Dulson at tinkersown@ca.rr.com or Marlynn Block at marlynn@far-west.org with the social media platform(s) you would feel most comfortable sharing on/with.
Deadline, Friday, May 14th.
Once we’ve heard from you, Jeanette Lundgren, our Social Media Director, will be in touch to let you know where to find us.
We’re very much looking forward to having a terrific social sharing team!
