The 18th annual FAR-West conference will take place
October 14-16th and will be entirely virtual,
allowing for an even greater reach for our FAR-West community.
This year’s theme, #forwardwithfolk, embraces our movement forward in adapting to a changing world while still showcasing past conference traditions such as the Venue’s Choice Concert, FAR-West Teaches (Panels), Guerrilla Showcases, and awards for the Best of The West, while introducing Campfires, Community Spotlights, Peer Sessions, and a Special Humanitarian Honoree.

Excerpt: “The silver lining of this pandemic for me has been ZOOM!
I live in a small town with few opportunities to meet other folk singers and writers.”

FAR-West Members!! Are you an Artist or Band with a New Release??
Music that was released during 2020 or 2021?
We are adding new music to our “FAR-West Members’ New Releases” Spotify playlist to showcase our members who have recent commercially released music.
We want to celebrate your new music! Read on for details!
Here’s the criteria for submission:
- Submit your Spotify link to one (1) song from your new release – Links ONLY – MP3’s will be disqualified.
- E-mail the link to roserockmusic@gmail.com.
- If you submitted (1) one song in our First Round, you may submit a 2nd song (1) from the same release. Just know that priority will be given to artists who are submitting a song for the first time or from a newer release (since last May).
That’s it! We’ll send you the direct link to the
“FAR-West Members’ New Releases”
Spotify Playlist once it’s published.
