Folk Alliance Region West (FAR-West) is proud to present DIY Video ~ Tips For Home Studio Video as part of the “FAR-West Teaches” series. The panel includes singer songwriters Natalie Gelman, Kris Angelis and Abby Posner with Celia Chavez as moderator.
Do you have a new music release or tour coming up? Want to keep fans engaged and interactive between releases or gigs? Looking for help to connect your music to fans and industry, and also attract new eyes and ears?
A music video, a 20 second social media “story”, lyric videos, even a quick peek at behind the scenes action — these are all great marketing and promotional tools and effective ways to boost your connection with your community. These four artists will discuss:
- How to produce engaging content with gear you may already have
- Affordable gear and editing apps
- The value of a music video – why artists need dynamic visual content
- Basic tips on lighting, backgrounds, sound
- Camera awareness and how to interact with the camera
- Getting comfortable with seeing yourself on camera
Let’s get your creative juices going!
