Janet Dukes Memorial Fund
The last two years have been a time of transformation for FAR-West. We have evolved from an organization centered around a physical annual conference to a broader reaching all-year collaboration of our members and audience throughout the Western Region of North America.
Janet Dukes, throughout her association with and leadership of FAR-West, was a strong advocate for venues and artists in every town and community across the vast West. In her memory, we have established the Janet Dukes Memorial Fund. Donations made to this Fund, now and going forward, will be especially focused on programming and tools that enhance the year-round FAR-West mission. Specifically the part of our mission to assist our members with their careers and their collective cultural contributions to the communities where they live and serve.
Our expansion requires enhanced support. Technical, licensing, publicity and outreach, record archiving and preservation of performances, workshops through video and sound recording and much more.
We invite all friends and supporters to join us in the launch of the Janet Dukes Memorial Fund as we remember her hard work and kindness that was part of the foundation of our past successes and inspiration for great things to come.
