We, the FAR-West Board of Directors, hope that that you are all well, safe and following all current health recommendations.
We want to assure you that the health and well-being of our attendees is of our utmost concern as we plan for the forthcoming conference. We want to let you know where things currently stand. As of today, the 2020 conference and all the planning is proceeding as normal. We are monitoring the recommendations of California and the San Jose / Santa Clara County area and seeking the advice of FAI to act in the best interests of our attendees. At this time the conference is scheduled to go as planned. Please, if you are not following us on our our social media sites or mailing list/listserv, please join or follow one or more. They can all be found at this link: https://far-west.org/about/connect/
Registration for the 2020 conference is scheduled to open before the end of March 2020. We encourage you to take advantage of the Early Bird savings. If FAR-West is forced to cancel the conference due to COVID-19 concerns, all registered attendees will be refunded their entire registration fee. Please note the cancellation date for attendees as you register.
Our cancellation policy and conditions remain the same as in the past, but some of the dates are earlier to accommodate hotel requirements:
- Registration fees are refundable (less $25 handling fee to cover registration and credit card fees) until August 15th. Cancellations after August 15th are subject to the $25 handling fee and any non-refundable fees that FAR-West is committed to, including but not limited to food expenses.
- Unfortunately, there are no refunds after September 20th, 2020.
- If current health concerns and conditions force the cancellation of the 2020 FAR-West conference, registration costs for all registered attendees will be refunded in full and not subject to a handling fee.
