Lockdown Lemonade #26-
When Life Gives you Lemons, Check to See if you can
Shoutout to the music community! Let us hear from you! Lockdown Lemonade has been honored to be posting stories of survival, tips for getting through these challenging times and ALL kinds of ways to make lemonade out of the lemons we’ve been handed during the pandemic. We are always on the lookout for more material to share with the community.
Type up your thoughts & feelings, share some laughs you’ve had, some tears you’ve shed, but most of all, let your community know how YOU’VE learned to make your very special brand of lemonade.
Submissions should be 300 words and will be posted based on approval from the Lockdown Lemonade Committee, who might also do a little editing and/or tweaking to help your work to look its best. For guidelines, questions and other submission details, please contact Julie Zipperer at firstname.lastname@example.org or Marlynn Block at email@example.com
IMPORTANT: FAR-West Board Elections 2021
TOMORROW, Tuesday, April 20th is the last day you can vote! Election results will be announced on May 1st. Ballots for the FAR-West board elections were sent from Folk Alliance International to current members of FAI in our region on March 23rd. Make sure to check your email for the ballot which came from Folk Alliance at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Go to the archive link and scroll down to Saturday, April 17th and then “Roots Music & Beyond” and press ‘play’.
Note from Art Podell: Here’s my show…pardon the slight ‘kerfuffle’ at the beginning. The radio gremlins mistook segment 3 for segment 1, then … substituted … but all was fixed despite my moment of panic. Y’know, I could get used to the adrenaline rush. As they say: “you put your right foot in, you take your right foot out … shinola happens, etc.
FAR-West Campfire: 4/20
4/20 stands for many things. Those cute little blackbirds stuck in a crusted shell but also clouds of psychedelic smoke. Use your imagination and come join us for our FAR-West Campfire to share songs, stories, laughs! Downbeat at 7 PM PDT on 4/20. It will definitely be a far-out time!
Of course, any song will do! Just want to listen, come on over!
We are at the campsite next to the big tree where the maid will be hanging out the clothes on Zoom.
Our Campfires burn on Zoom, so send an email to email@example.com to receive the Zoom link.

FAR-West Members!! Are you an Artist or Band with a New Release?? Something that was released during 2020 or 2021?
We are creating a “FAR-West New Releases” Spotify playlist to showcase our members who have recent commercially released music. Also, we are anxious to celebrate Spring and New Starts as we move into April & May and feel the joy of some restrictions being lifted after such a challenging year. We want to celebrate your new music too!
Here’s the criteria for submission:
Submit your Spotify link to one (1) song from your new (2020 or 2021) release – Links ONLY – MP3’s will be disqualified.
E-mail the link to firstname.lastname@example.org with subject line “FAR-West New Releases.”
